I was born in Holon, Israel and served as an officer in the Shaldag Unit, a classified Special Forces unit under the command of the Israeli Air Force. I graduated from the School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and am a father of three grown children.

I take great pride in my work in microsurgery and restoration of facial movement in children and adults with facial paralysis, which has won me a world-renowned name.

As part of my work in public hospital services for many years, I have been meeting and treating patients with severe reconstructive conditions, congenital disorders, severe injuries, or cancer-related conditions. This vast experience has strengthened my belief that nothing is more impactful than an individual, hands-on relationship with the patient. An empathetic attitude makes all the difference in preparation processes, surgery, recovery, and of course, in the outcome and patient satisfaction.
